This program is produced by the Chinese University of Hong Kong Chinese Medical School. The purpose is to facilitate the study of acupuncturists to review the relevant information of meridians and acupuncture points anytime and anywhere, and to briefly introduce the basic knowledge of acupuncture and moxibustion, so that acupuncturists have a basic concept of acupuncture and moxibustion. Under the guidance of experienced registered Chinese medicine practitioners, learn more profound acupuncture and moxibustion.
The program content includes:
(1) The meridians of the twelve meridians and the odd-eight-pulse veins are accompanied by diagrams.
(2) Detailed information on the location, indications, anatomy and acupuncture of 397 acupoints (including 36 external acupoints).
(3) Each acupoint is accompanied by a meridian diagram to explain the position of the acupuncture point. The picture can be clicked to enlarge, reduce and move.
(8) Users can inquire about relevant information according to the meridians, acupoints and diseases.
(9) A brief overview of other knowledge of acupuncture, such as practice methods, preparatory work, needle insertion methods, and precautions.
(10) Traditional and Simplified Chinese, three versions of English are available for different people.
(11) Frequently updated activities organized by the Chinese University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
School of Chinese Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong developed this acupuncture app which aims to facilitate traditional Chinese Medicine students and other healthcare professionals to study acupuncture with the guidance of well experienced registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner effectively.
The content of the app include:
(1) The route of 12 meridians and 8 extraordinary merdians (with pictures).
(2) The location, indication and needling method of 397 acupoints (including 36 extraordinary points)
(3) Pictures for all meridians and acupoints can be enlarged and moved.
(4) Users can search the information according to the category of meridian, acupoints and diseases.
(5) Information like practicing method, preparation work, needling method and precaution are also listed.
